India is expected to get a great deal of exposure as a Partner Country at the Ambiente trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany, where it will exhibit and showcase the country’s rich and varied heritage in arts, crafts, and handicrafts. India is only the second Asian country, after Japan, to achieve Partner Country status.

India’s government is looking at this event to translate into more travel to India by the thousands from those who visit the expo. Ajay Tamta, Minister of State for Textiles, said in New Delhi that several artists from all over the country will be present at the trade fair to generate more interest in what India has to offer.

Ambiente is a leading international trade fair for products associated with dining, cooking, household goods, gift items, jewelry and interior decoration. The fair is a leading sourcing platform outside Asia. Ayush Kasliwal and Sandeep Sangaru curated the work they are doing in woodwork and other areas to promote artists.

The event will be held from February 8 to 12 , 2019, and over 450 participants are expected from India.

Ambiente 2018 featured 4,441 exhibitors and attracted 134,600 trade visitors from 168 countries.
