Mr. Francisco Carlos Soares Luz, the Brazilian Ambassador to be accredited to Seychelles soon, called on Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, at the Boardโ€™s Bel Ombre Offices to discuss a closer working relationship between Brazil and the Seychelles.

The Brazilian Ambassador discussed the fact that Seychelles is today very visible in Brazil as the tourism destination in vogue. This follows the media hype that surrounded the recent honeymoon of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in Seychelles, and it has aroused so much interest that articles on Seychelles were this week listed as the most read in Brazil.

Alain St.Ange also raised the support from Brazil for the Seychelles 2012 “Carnaval International de Victoria.” The discussions took place in the presence of Ivana Panizzi, a visual artist in her own right from Brazil and wife of the Ambassador, and it was agreed to follow up on the request by Seychelles to have a bigger delegation from Brazil for the 2012 carnival procession with samba music. It was also discussed to have stars of the Brazilian Telenovela currently being screened on SBC TV and, if possible, a known Brazilian footballer to also be part of the Brazilian delegation.

Alain St.Ange thanked the Brazilian Ambassador and Mrs. Panizzi for their continued effort to try to assist Seychelles with their “Carnaval International de Victoria,” the carnival that is now regarded across the world as the carnival of carnivals.
