The JAL Group announced that international service between Osaka (Japan) and Dalian (China) will be discountinued.

The JAL Group announced that international service between Osaka (Japan) and Dalian (China) will be discountinued. This is part of further revisions to its route and flight frequency plan for international passenger operations for the second half of FY2009.

Progressing with restructuring efforts by reviewing its overall network coverage, JAL will withdraw its once-daily service on the international route between Osaka (Kansai) and Dalian beginning October 25, 2009. JAL still connects Japan with Dalian by a single daily flight between Tokyo (Narita) and the Chinese city.

JAL said it will continue reviewing its passenger and cargo network and expects to make further amendments to its routes, fleet, and flight frequencies, which will be announced whenever a change has been confirmed.
