A 6.4 strong earthquake in Indonesia hit the tourist island of Lombok across the bay from Bali today.

The quake was measured at 6.47 am local time or 6.47 pm EST, 22:47 UTC.
According to USGS the location of this shallow quake was

  • 1.4 km (0.8 mi) SW of Lelongken, Indonesia
  • 27.0 km (16.7 mi) NW of Labuan Lombok, Indonesia
  • 47.8 km (29.6 mi) NNE of Praya, Indonesia
  • 49.5 km (30.7 mi) NE of Mataram, Indonesia
  • 63.1 km (39.1 mi) NE of Lembar, Indonesia
