Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort today announced the appointment of industry veteran as the property’s new general manager. In this role, she will leverage her expertise in award-winning customer service and internal operations to lead the path for success at the 374-room full-service residential resort.

“I am excited to have been granted the opportunity to join the talented team at Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort,” said Kathryn Day. “The resort already boasts a high degree of hospitality, and I look forward to levering my expertise to expand the property’s distinct personalize service and reputation in South Florida.”

Prior to joining Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, Kathryn Day served as general manager of The Drake Chicago. Under her leadership, the esteemed property yielded significant growth in guest satisfaction and employee engagement indexes for the past two years. Day’s 15 years of industry experience is also comprised of leadership roles for several properties in the luxury sector, including The Public Chicago, Waldorf Astoria Chicago and Four Seasons Philadelphia. She holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce, marketing and hospitality management from The University of New South Wales in Australia.
