This morning, at Palazzo Begni, Mr Augusto Michelotti, Minister of Tourism, Ms Nicoletta Corbelli, Tourism Board manager and project creator and artistic director Philippe Macina, presented TIMELINE – ‘SAN MARINO STORY’, the most prestigious event in the Republic of San Marino for summer 2018.

The event was described as an evolution of the traditional Medieval Days and it will take place on 27th, 28thand 29thJuly, in the streets of San Marino city centre from 17.00 to at least 24.00.

New, unique and entertaining ,TIMELINE is the result of the close collaboration between public and private bodies, that is between the Ministry of Tourism and the Tourism Board of San Marino on the one side, and Cinephil Srl on the other side. For the first time, you will be able to go back in time and relive the most important moments in the history of San Marino, through six historical eras and actually seeing the places where those events unfolded.
The Middle Ages, but also the Roman times, the Renaissance, the Risorgimento era, as well as WWI and WWIIwill be staged in an original format with a strong link to the actual historical events.

Another important novelty is that a ticket will have to be paid to enjoy the performances held everywhere in the city centre. The entry ticket will help organisers cover the huge costs of such an event and improve the overall experience for visitors.

They will have a chance to dive into the past: the history of the oldest Republic in the world will be told following a timeline running along the perimeter of the city walls, featuring re-enactment, shows, performances and exhibitions by local and foreign performers and artists.

65 shows every day and 580 artists engaged.

A number of off-line and on-line promotion and communication channels will be used to give TIMELINE the greatest possible visibility before and after the event. Promotional activities will include posters, national and local press coverage, brochures available in every hotel of the Adriatic Riviera and an information desk at the theme park of Mirabilandia, the weekend before the event.

Special attention will be paid to digital communication as a fundamental channel to support the event and attract visitors.

From today onwards, the official pages of the event on Facebook and Instagram will be online. The main goal is to create a community of people who can interact and generate their own content next to the official ones published by organizers: 6 pieces of news a day on each social network, every day starting from next week.
