Tourism EXPO Japan 2018 announces travel and tourism leaders for keynote speeches

Tourism EXPO Japan 2018, the world’s largest tourism trade fair, has invited H.E. Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary-General of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), and Ms. Gloria Guevara Manzo, President & CEO of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), as keynote speech speakers on the first day of the event. They will be delivering their keynote speeches on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 10:30-11:15 am at Tokyo Big Sight West Exhibition Hall 3 in Japan.

The theme of the keynote speeches is “Managing Sustainable Tourism for Community Development.” Tourism is expected to continue to grow further over the next decade becoming one of the leading global socio-economic sectors. The rapidly-growing numbers of international travelers have made enormous impact and created various new opportunities for all the components of the tourism development in the host destinations. These top leaders in global tourism will speak about the outlook of future tourism development.

This international conference will cover global perspectives and will be held in collaboration with the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). The event will include the keynote speeches, as well as a TEJ Ministerial Round Table, Asian Tourism Business Leaders’ Forum, Thematic Symposia, and WTTC Networking Reception.

Tourism EXPO Japan will be held from September 20-23, 2018 in Tokyo, Japan, at Tokyo Big Sight. September 20 and 21 are reserved for business discussions and industry professionals, and September 22 and 23 is open to the general public. The event is being organized by the Japan Travel and Tourism Association (JTTA), the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA), and the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO).
