Centara offers jumbo-size treat with Mahout For A Day package in Chiang Mai

Away Suansawan Chiang Mai, a Centara Boutique Collection resort, is offering a package that couples accommodation with the opportunity to become a Mahout (elephant keeper) and experience traditional Thai ways of life.

The Mahout For A Day package is available from now until October 31, 2011 and starts at THB 11,062 net single and THB 19,120 net twin for the three-day/two-night program.

Guests are taken to the elephant campsite for a day, where they will learn the basic communication and action commands used to guide the 4-ton beasts through the scenic surroundings and to have them perform games of skill, as well as help out at bathing time.

The mahout package includes two nights’ accommodation, daily buffet breakfast, one welcome dinner, roundtrip transfer to the nearby elephant camp site, and the Mahout For A Day experience with lunch provided.

Located in the beautiful Mae Rim Valley, Away Suansawan Chiang Mai offers a full range of recreational activities and facilities including two swimming pools, spa treatment and massage, fitness center with sauna, and a lakeside relaxation sala with library.
