The initiative is a part of “A gift from Saudi Arabia” project, one of SCTA’s initiatives aimed at marketing handicraft and heritage products that are produced by individual artisans, women associations and some craftcenters.

The initiative also aims at increasing the income of the productive families, through encouraging and helping in marketing their products electronically through the Village Market: , Souq Al Qaria, Saudi Post official website.

Eng. Saad Al Ghatani, Supervisor of the project of handicraft and handmade products development, SCTA, commented on the cooperation efforts between SCTA and Saudi Post: “Marketing handicrafts products in the kingdom is one of the most important issues for artisans, therefore, an agreement was reached between SCTA and Saudi Post, to devote a website to market artisans products in a way that enables artisans and associations to showcase their products through the website.”
