The Seychelles Tourism Board has confirmed that they are ready to light up Victoria for the coming carnival, and they have invited the local press members to join them and members of the board of the Tourism Baord and the Hospitality & Tourism Association on Wednesday late afternoon at 6:00 pm in Victoria when the Seychelles Designated Minister, Mr. Vincent Meriton, will turn on the switch to light up Victoria.
Many people have help the Seychelles Tourism Board to light up Victoria. PUC, The National Day Committee, Vijay Constructions, Allied Builders, and Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino have joined forces to light up Victoria, and through them, the Seychelles Tourism Board has tried to show off the Seychelles’ capital with a new feel and with a new eye.
The two local construction companies, Vijay Constructions and Allied Builders, have taken over the responsibility of providing the manpower and other logistics for the lighting up of Victoria. Vijay Constructions has taken over lighting Victoria from the Clock Tower to the Bicentinary Monument. Arches are being constructed to give this main avenue an arcade feel when the thousands of Seychellois and visitors alike walk Victoria for the three days of the carnival. Allied Builders on its part are lighting up Albert and Francis Rachel Streets. Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort and Casino have, by themselves, put up Chinese lanterns to light up the area of Victoria where the Chinese restaurant will be situated.
The Seychelles Tourism Board is also using this opportunity to say thank you to PUC, The National Day Committee, Vijay Construction, Allied Builders, and to Berjaya Beau Vallon Beach Resort & Casino for their support for the Seychelles “Carnaval International de Victoria.”
