Kualoa Ranch makes top 10 movie tours in US

HONOLULU, HI – Hawaii’s Kualoa Ranch on the island of Oahu ranked number 6 on a recent list of top 10 movie tours in the US. The ranch was named as an ideal location where visitors may experience a premier look behind the scenes of popular film locations. Kualoa’s Movie Sites and Ranch Tour takes visitors to film locations such as the hatch from ABC’s hit show LOST and the famous valley where dinosaurs ran in the movie Jurassic Park. Currently, Kualoa serves as a backlot for hit shows like Hawaii Five-O and Off the Map.

“With all the recent filming, the Movie Sites and Ranch tour has quickly become the most popular tour of the ranch, proving there is a strong desire to get a sneak peek at these film locations,” said John Morgan, president of Kualoa Ranch.

The Movie Sites and Ranch Tour is a one-hour narrated tour across Kualoa and into gorgeous Ka’a’awa Valley. The tour gives visitors a first-hand experience where many of Hollywood’s biggest blockbuster movies and television shows have been filmed, including Jurassic Park, Godzilla, Windtalkers, and Pearl Harbor. The tour is also part of Kualoa’s newly-launched Moonlight package that includes two tours and an evening dinner complete with entertainment.
