At first glance, a visitor to the Al Jouf festival will be completely captured by the scenes of the market stalls in the folklore souk (open-air market), which is decked with Sado and textiles in wonderful colors and different sizes. The Al Jouf Festival, which is held at the Al Jouf Entertainment City, north of Saudi Arabia, is held under the slogan, “Sweetest Al Jouf.”

The folklore souk includes 40 craftswomen exhibiting productive families’ products as part of the Al Jouf Festival activities. The craftswomen, according to their supervisor Mrs. Hind Al Jareed, will participate in this event with a number of famous handicrafts in the region.

The executive director of Al Jouf PTO Mr. Hussain Bin Ali Al Khalifa explained that the family pavilions are witnessing heavy turnout from the visitors cashing good returns. It has proved the fact that festivals are the best means for marketing family products, which drove SCTA to increase the producers in the province through conducting a number of special training courses for young women in local handicrafts. More than 1,000 young women were trained in Al Jouf.
