WASHINGTON – Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA), a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee, issues the following statement:
“In this season of Thanksgiving – and on the heaviest travel day of the year – let us give thanks to the members of the Transportation Security Administration for the vital and excellent work that they do.
“We are a safer country thanks to the professionalism and vigilance of the TSA – hundreds of thousands of flights since 9/11 without terror-related harm. Even in the face of recent criticism, the American traveling public registers overwhelming support for airport and in-flight security measures.
“So on Thanksgiving 2010 – Thank you, TSA.”
