Frontier Airlines to relaunch Tulsa service

Frontier Airlines will re-start flights to Tulsa, Okla., later this summer after a one-year absence from the market, the carrier announced Wednesday.

Denver-based Frontier — the second largest carrier at Denver International Airport — will fly two flights a day between DIA and Tulsa International Airport, with three of the flights beginning on Aug. 2 and the fourth on Aug. 3.

Planes will arrive in Denver from the Oklahoma city at 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily and return at 10:55 a.m. and 7:10 p.m., the airline said.

Frontier offered service to Tulsa from May 2005 until May 2008 through former regional partner Frontier Airways Holdings but cut the route as part of a network-wide capacity reduction after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
