International visitors love German products for their exceptional quality. Brands such as Leica, Glashütte Original, C. Bechstein, and Montblanc are known for their technical expertise, precise craftsmanship, and high standard of design and materials. Brands that are ‘made in Germany’ and ‘made in Europe’ are therefore an important part of the range of products and services available at Frankfurt Airport. A special campaign featuring German and European brands awaits passengers at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) from April until the end of August.

There will be a strong focus on crafts and culture in international departure areas B and Z in Terminal 1 as well as D and E in Terminal 2 during the campaign period. Passengers can even observe experts at work. Watchmakers will show off their intricate handiwork. Leica will explain the complex inner workings of high-quality cameras. Meanwhile, Swiss chocolatier Lindt will also be present with melt-in-the-mouth chocolates ready for tasting.

There are also many accompanying offers available to passengers. Leaflets with information and coupons for German and European brands are available in the departure areas. The concert grand piano is particularly eye-catching. This B212 Sterling special edition by C. Bechstein was created in collaboration with high-end silversmiths Robbe & Berking. It has been provided to passengers by airport operator Fraport in cooperation with the C. Bechstein Centrum in Frankfurt until the end of August. This lovely grand piano has already toured Europe and provides an absolute visual and acoustic highlight at the airport. Visitors are welcome to come along and have a listen, or even play their favorite tune on the piano in Terminal 1, Concourse B, after the security and passport controls.

Aside from the various offers, the variety of brands is also inspiring. Watches from various German and Swiss manufacturers – including Nomos, Wempe Glashütte and Rolex – adorn the shop windows. High-quality leather goods, from German labels such as MCM and Picard, to Loewe from Spain, or Versace from Italy, impress with their style and quality. Fine Riesling from the Rheingau in Germany and French champagne – those who can’t decide can always take a bottle of each. Gourmet connoisseurs may like to sample Swiss Balik salmon at Caviar House & Prunier for an unparalleled taste experience. Anyone who still has time left could also enjoy a typical German snack, such as white sausage and a pretzel alongside a freshly poured beer, or perhaps take a culinary excursion elsewhere in Europe to enjoy homemade Italian pasta specialties.

The list of major German and European brands at the airport could continue further. Traditional souvenirs and gifts continue to prove popular – including cuckoo clocks, Bavarian beer mugs and Spreewald pickles in a souvenir tin.

A first glimpse at the range of German and European brands available at FRA can be found online on the Made in Germany and the Best of Europe shopping site. A total of around 300 shops, restaurants, and services are available to visitors to Frankfurt Airport. Some of these can be explored, ordered, or reserved online prior to arrival.

Passengers and visitors can learn more about the diverse range of services at Frankfurt Airport on the airport’s website, in our Service Shop, or via social media, including Twitter,Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
