To coincide with this official visit, an afternoon event was conducted at Katha Lobby Lounge on April 18, 2018 to formally welcome both executives to the island of Bali. Key travel partners and media representatives were invited to this meet and greet session where the success of Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali was also celebrated.

The gathering was the perfect mix of business and pleasure as Mr. Mark Willis, in his capacity as President for properties in Asia, shared details about future developments pertaining to the Mövenpick brand. He began by explaining that Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali has exceeded all expectations during its first year of operation, as well as the team and management under the leadership of Mr. Horst Walther-Jones was praised for his commendable leadership skills and enforcement of Mövenpick standards.

The resort is committed to quality and provides reliable service with a personal touch that cares for the well-being of each and every guest.

In conclusion, Mr. Mark Willis summed up by explaining that Mövenpick is currently focusing on its global growth. In Asia alone, there will be 5 key openings in premier destinations such as the Maldives, Hua Hin, Khao Yai, Sylhet and Kuala Lumpur, which will be strategically marketed to attract both business and leisure travelers.

Following a group photo, everyone in attendance mingled socially over drinks and light bites during the fading moments of daylight. A token gift bag, containing coffee, a scented sachet from Arkipela Spa and a handy USB, was later distributed to bring this informative event to a close.
