The Federal Aviation Administration has proposed fining Fort Lauderdale-based Gulfstream International Airlines $1.3 million for violating FAA regulations.
The alleged violations include improper scheduling of flight crews, and the installation of unapproved air conditioner compressors and improperly maintained vent blowers on the airline’s fleet of 27 BE-1900-D aircraft, according to an FAA news release.
Gulfstream International has 30 days from the receipt of the civil penalty letter to respond to the FAA.
The airline has 157 daily nonstop flights serving Florida, Cleveland and the Bahamas, according to its Web site.
Efforts to reach the company for comment were not successful.
