RAI Amsterdam wins Best International (non-UK) Venue award

RAI Amsterdam won the Best International Venue award at the twelfth annual Exhibition News Awards on Friday 23 March 2018 in London for the fourth time. The Exhibition News Awards are conferred annually on businesses which make outstanding contributions to the exhibition industry and are acknowledged as the key event on the exhibition industry calendar. The award was collected by the business development team of RAI Amsterdam.

RAI Amsterdam was shortlisted in the โ€˜Best International Venueโ€™ category, where it faced stiff competition from other nominees, including Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Expoforum convention & exhibition center St. Petersburg, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, IFEMA Feria de Madrid, International Convention Centre Sydney, Shanghai New International Expo Centre en Singapore EXPO Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Jury report

In announcing its decision, the jury commented: โ€œThe entry from RAI Amsterdam showed how much they have engaged with their partners and the city as well as demonstrating thought leadership with the industryโ€.

โ€œWe are proud to have won this award for the fourth time,โ€ says Maurits van der Sluis, COO at RAI Amsterdam. โ€œIt shows that our efforts are noticed and paying off. Our goal is to help (international) exhibition organisers make their event the biggest success possible and a meaningful experience for exhibitors and visitors. We are proud that we can contribute to the success and annually be the home of smaller and big trade exhibitions like the well- known IBC, ISE and PLMA in the city of Amsterdam.

Exhibition News is one of the leading trade magazines for the exhibition, conference and events industry. The category โ€˜Best International Venueโ€™ was open to all large international exhibition venues with 10,000 sqm or more floor space that attract major international events.
