Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches, the newest luxury resort in Seychelles, is welcoming its first guests this Thursday March 1, 2018.
The resort features 71 lodgings, offering a choice of beach bungalows, villas, suites and multi-bedroom Residences, all with private pool and direct beach access.
Desroches, which is part of the Amirantes group, is administered by the Island Development Company (IDC), and can be reached in 35 minutes by plane from the main island, Mahé.
Guests staying at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches will be the first to holiday on the island, since the previous resort closed over two years ago.
The new resort is aiming to provide a luxurious holiday experience combined with the space and freedom to discover and learn about the islands’ natural surroundings — both on land and at sea.
New dining concepts, cycling along 15 kilometers of forested pathways, guided nature walks with the Island Conservation Society, learning about the island’s variety of vegetation and marine life at the resort’s interactive discovery center, getting up close with the giant tortoises at the tortoise sanctuary, fishing, snorkeling and diving, are but a few of the adventures awaiting guests opting for a tropical secluded holiday on the island.
Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches said it is starting off with over 200 staff representing 39 nationalities, including a significant proportion of Seychellois at all levels, following recruitments drives and advertising, both locally and internationally.
The resort’s Human Resources Manager, Marc Bonnelame said: “We have put together a great team full of talented individuals and it is exciting for all of us to be part of such a historic opening. For me as Seychellois, I am proud to be working with such a renowned international brand and to be able to extend the same opportunity to other Seychellois.”
The General Manager of the Four Seasons Resort at Desroches, Edward Linsley said: “I’m so immensely proud of our entire team and what we have achieved. Desroches is an incredibly special island and I cannot wait to welcome our first guests to discover this destination and to experience first-hand the passion, dedication and warmth of our team who have worked so hard together to make this dream a reality.”
This is the second Four Seasons Resort in Seychelles, after the one at Baie Lazare on the main island, Mahé, which opened in 2009.
