Parq Casino workers sign new collective agreement

Workers at the Parq Casino have ratified a new three-year contract that includes securing unionized jobs, making key gains in wages and addressing harassment.

The new contract finalizes some outstanding food and beverage issues as well as seeing all gaming floor food and beverage service return to unionized positions.

The new contract also secures wage increases of up to an average of 27.5 percent in the first year and no less than 2 percent in each following.

New protections against abusive patrons, increases to night shift, poker and craps premiums and the addition of sick days have also been agreed to.
