Jamaica to sign multi-destination marketing tourism agreement with Cayman Islands

Jamaica Minister of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett, discussed possible opportunities for Jamaica to collaborate with Cayman Islands with the President and CEO of Cayman Airlines, Fabian Whorms; Minister of District Administration, Tourism and Transport for the Cayman Islands, Hon. Moses Kirkconnell; and Director of Tourism for the Cayman Islands, Rosa Harris. Noting the common cultural experiences and unique features both countries have, it was agreed that a multi-destination marketing agreement will be signed later this year, to provide a more diverse offering for international visitors.

The ministers also discussed the role of Cayman Airways in enabling connectivity within the region, operating within the concept of the spoke-hub paradigm, to distribute visitors from far destinations such as Russia and China. The meeting took place at Minister Bartlettโ€™s New Kingston office on January 24, 2018.
