Jamaica Minister of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett, discussed possible opportunities for Jamaica to collaborate with Cayman Islands with the President and CEO of Cayman Airlines, Fabian Whorms; Minister of District Administration, Tourism and Transport for the Cayman Islands, Hon. Moses Kirkconnell; and Director of Tourism for the Cayman Islands, Rosa Harris. Noting the common cultural experiences and unique features both countries have, it was agreed that a multi-destination marketing agreement will be signed later this year, to provide a more diverse offering for international visitors.

The ministers also discussed the role of Cayman Airways in enabling connectivity within the region, operating within the concept of the spoke-hub paradigm, to distribute visitors from far destinations such as Russia and China. The meeting took place at Minister Bartlett’s New Kingston office on January 24, 2018.
