Inter-Continental Hotel in Kabul under siege by armed attackers

Four men armed with automatic weapons and possibly suicide bombers have attacked the luxury Inter-Continental Hotel in Kabul, capital of Afghanistan. There may be a hostage situation developing, and part of the building is on fire.

Along with hotel guests, a wedding party was going on. That party was evacuated.

A government representative stated that special forces were on the scene and going through the building floor by floor. It was reported that at least one of the armed attackers has been killed.

According to a witness, explosions were heard in the area.

So far, no terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
