Tourists that Visit the USA? The United States Government is shut down

The US Government is officially closed and shotdown. This is your United States Government at work – or better not at work. While the US economy is booming the government is bankrupt.

The deal is not about money, but is the fact the Republican Government want to get “Dreamers deported.” and Democrats wants to protect their status as immigrants. The President accused Democrats one minute after the shutdown to hold lawful US citizens hostage over unlawful immigrants.

Even though Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen stated earlier it was “not going to be a priority” of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to deport dreamers, protection for this group of  US immigrant “That’s not the policy of DHS,” she added. “787.580 Dreamers had been granted approval to remain in the United States after former President Obama protected them. Dreamers are illegal immigrants that arrived in the United States as little children by parents entering the country illegally.  These “Dreamers” never really lived in any other country than the USA. They must have arrived in the US before turning 16 and lived there continuously since June 2007. Most Dreamers are from Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras and the largest numbers live in California, Texas, Florida and New York. They range in age from 15 to 36, according to the White House.

When the government shut down at midnight Saturday Morning, President Trump was asleep and AirForce One may not be able to take him to Florida for the weekend, but U.S. National Parks will remain open during the current government shuts down, the Department of Interior announced Thursday already in a move that could help assuage public anger at Republicans if Congress fails to agree to a budget.

US National parks including the Lincoln Memorial and the Grand Canyon, more than 400 National Park Service parks and properties have been the most visible faces of past government shutdowns.

The Smithsonian Institution says its museums in Washington, D.C., as well as the National Zoo will remain open for the weekend but will close on Monday. All animals will be continued to be fed, but, in a setback for panda lovers, the zoo’s popular Panda Cam and other live animal cameras will not be broadcasting.

The Smithsonian’s New York museums, the Cooper Hewitt design museum and Heye Center, will be closed.

Jacque Simon, the public policy director for the American Federation of Government Employees, the largest federal employee union, said federal workers have not yet been given any instructions about how agencies plan to operate or whom will be sent home if a shutdown occurs. Keeping the parks open, she said, is a smart political move.

Air traffic controllers, Transportation Security Administration officers and Customs and Border Protection agents would remain on the job, so air travel and security screenings at US airports should be mostly unaffected.

Environmental activists criticized the plan to keep open the national parks, calling it dangerous to visitors as well as illegal under the Anti-Deficiency Act of 1998 that mandates the government can’t spend funds that haven’t been appropriated.

The military is mostly considered essential and will work, however without pay.Civilians working for the government will serve if they “are necessary to carry out or support excepted activities,” but will also not be paid until funds are available, according to the memo.

The US Postal service will continue to operate.

Most federal agencies, however, will be closed, like the Department of Education and the IRS, although some of their essential functions will continue to operate.
