India’s First-ever Tourism University set to open

One of the oldest and best known Hospitality and Tourism Group of Institutes, IIHM – International Institute Of Hotel Management with campuses at Kolkata, Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Hyderabad and Bangkok, and it’s sister concern IAM with campuses at Goa, Kolkata and Guwahati has decided to form the country’s first-ever Tourism University named IIHM University in West Bengal under the WB Pvt University Act.

IIHM is the only institute in the country with over 40 MoUs and academic collaboration with the world’s top institutions. It will also organize the biggest Culinary Olympiad for Young Chefs of the world, where over 50 nations take part in India. IIHM Group has over 6500 full-time students in India and Thailand.

IIHM has a strong vision of creating one of the World’s Best Centre of Excellence in Tourism Studies with courses in Tourism Development, Hospitality & Tourism Studies, Eco-tourism, Sustainable Tourism and Tourism in Digital World, among others. With a striking vision, IIHM has painstakingly created a multicultural environment in all its campuses. Both due to the immense popularity of the institute and due to its various affiliations and tie-ups, students from Thailand, Armenia, Singapore, South Korea, South Africa, Bangladesh and many other countries consider IIHM a preferred destination for hotel management programs.
