Japanese tourist assaulted and robbed in central Waikiki


HONOLULU – Honolulu police are looking for two men who robbed and assaulted a 36-year-old Japanese tourist.

The assault happened Friday afternoon in central Waikiki at Kuhio and Seaside avenues.

Tourist told police that he was approached by two men, one of whom pulled out a knife and took his bag while the other one punched him in the face.

Both suspects fled immediately after the assault. They were still at large on Sunday.

Honolulu police are looking for two local men in their 20s, both about 6 feet tall and about 180 pounds.
