Excellence Group Luxury Hotels helps rebuild 200 homes after devastating Mexico earthquakes

The Excellence Group and Rotary Club Cancun International came together at Beloved Playa Mujeres hotel on October 23 to support victims of the September earthquakes in the states of Chiapas and Oaxaca, Mexico. Excellence Group Luxury Hotels is a family-owned and operated resort group specializing in hotel management and worldwide real estate development, with a primary presence in the Caribbean.

In attendance were District Governor Mr. Julio Pérez Tovar, Rotary Club Cancun’s President, Ms. Rosa María Arellano, Excellence Group’s Director of Operations, Mr. Tomeu Alcina, Excellence Playa Mujeres’ General Manager Mr. Lorenzo Fluxá, Excellence Riviera Cancún’s General Manager, Mr. Manuel González, Beloved Playa Mujeres’, General Manager Mr. Roberto Díaz, and Finest Playa Mujeres’ General Manager, Mr. Eric Cervantes.

Excellence Group’s Director of Operations, Mr. Tomeu Alcina, discussed social responsibility as a fundamental part of the Excellence Group philosophy, stating “We trust that the sum of good will, like ours, will lead to a roof that provides joy, wellness and hope to those who need.”

The President of Rotary Club, Ms. Rosa María Arellano, Mr. Pérez Tovar, and Mr. Alcina ended the event with a contribution of four checks, each representing one of the Excellence Group’s properties in the Caribbean. The total donation, $100,000, is to be used for the reconstruction of 200 homes in areas affected by the earthquakes, as stated by District Governor Mr. Julio Pérez Tovar.
