Benchmark names Rebecca Lamson director of human resources for The Essex – a Culinary Resort & Spa.

Benchmark, a global hospitality company, has named Rebecca Lamson director of human resources for The Essex – a Culinary Resort & Spa, a Gemstone Collection property located minutes from downtown Burlington in the foothills of the legendary Green Mountains. Nic Barger, general manager, made the announcement.

“I am very happy to welcome Rebecca to our resort,” said Mr. Barger. “She comes to us with significant experience within the human resources profession, gained while employed in a variety of industries. We look forward to her leadership and her active participation within our executive team.”

Rebecca Lamson brings over a decade of professional experience in human resources to her new position. Previously she was human resources director for the storied Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vermont. Over the years, Ms. Lamson has gained important human resources experience in diverse industries as manufacturing, mental health services and hospitality. She began her career at Topnotch Resort & Spa, a sister property to The Essex and which is also managed by Benchmark.

Ms. Lamson is a graduate of Lyndon State College where she received her Bachelors degree in Human Services. She earned her Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. Lamson holds SHRM-CP certification. She resides in Huntington, Vermont.
