Hughes has been successful in leading his own consultancy business which focused on creating value for partnerships as part of the procurement process. As a popular speaker and facilitator at conferences, Hughes has proven himself as a thought leader in the travel industry and has a strong influence within the Asia Pacific market.
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with a truly global business and leader in corporate travel,” comments Hughes. “UNIGLOBE’s values and approach to business are consistent with what I believe delivers exceptional outcomes for customers and members of the group and I look forward to extending this reach across Asia/ Pacific”.

The Asia Pacific region is experiencing rapid economic growth which has increased both business and leisure travel. Until recently, corporations have been slow to adopt corporate travel managers. With a low level of travel policy compliance, corporations based in Asia Pacific now recognize they need a dedicated team to maintain employee compliance and safety.
“UNIGLOBE Travel is looking to grow its presence in the Asia Pacific market, and with Hughes’ expertise and connections we will be able to continue to grow in this market,” says Martin Charlwood, President, UNIGLOBE Travel International. “The Asia Pacific market is expanding and we are eager to help companies on their next travel management needs.”
