MOSCOW – State corporation Russian Technologies said on Tuesday that Boeing Co has agreed to help arrange financing for new state carrier Russian Airlines to buy planes.

“Boeing has promised to help us find credit in the United States. From next year we would like to start buying airplanes,” Russian Technologies chief Sergei Chemezov told reporters.

“The most important question is where (we can) get the money.”

Russia Technologies is setting up the new state airline holding company, which will absorb carriers crippled by the financial crisis.

Chemezov said Russian Airlines planned to buy between 150 and 200 airplanes starting next year but did not specify what share of the orders would be placed with Boeing.
