Innovation: it’s more attainable than you think – This is the subject of a session Cleveland Justis, from the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UC Davis School of Management, will deliver at PCMA Business School taking place at IMEX America, October 10 – 12 in Las Vegas.

As a leading innovation expert, Cleveland will show meeting and event strategists how to incorporate innovation principles into their work during the high-level professional development day held on Smart Monday, a free program of education taking place on October 9, the day before IMEX America begins.

Cleveland explains: “Innovation is one of the many buzzwords used in this ever-changing industry, and it’s more important than ever because society and business are both changing so rapidly. Technology is changing everything about how we live our lives and millennials, as core adopters of technology, are changing expectations about work, society, and commerce. As a result, business leaders must be willing to continually adapt and change or risk being left behind.

“I’m interested in exploring ways in which innovators can foster personal connections that give them access to new ways of thinking. Once people do this they realize that innovation is less about discovering a brand new idea than it is about using existing ideas, processes, and products in new ways.”

PCMA’s MBA-quality program is a free high-level professional development program led by inspiring business experts and academics from outside the meetings industry. The Business School enables meeting and event strategists to connect with their peers and sharpen their business skills, and forms part of the wider education program of over 250 sessions taking place on Smart Monday and throughout the show.
