Alaska Airlines announced that it has resumed a limited number of flights in Alaska, flying when the air is clear of volcanic ash from Mount Redoubt’s second eruption.
More than 100 flights had to be cancelled this week as a precaution against engine damage from the volcanic dust and ash.
Alaska Airlines stated that passengers whose flights were cancelled on Thursday and Friday can rebook without penalty or apply for a refund through April 2.
Travelers should check the status of their flights before leaving home at alaskaair.com or 1-800-252-7522.
