The Windy City welcomes tourists from India
India is the third largest market for Chicago, after China and the UK, with 107,000 Indian visitors traveling to enjoy the many attractions, entertainment, and cuisine of “The Windy City.”
Brian Said, the Vice President of Global Development for Choose Chicago, said while in Delhi, India, that the daily Air India flight has further boosted travel interest to the city.
Chicago gets 54 million visitors a year, of which 1.5 million are international.
Broadway shows that appear in the city, along with 200 theatres and museums are major attractions for Indian tourists. It is expected that 2018 will see even more tourists with the addition of several new hotels.
