San José Mayor Sam Liccardo and Mineta San José International Airport’s (SJC) Interim Assistant Director of Aviation Judy Ross joined today with Frontier Airlines’ Daniel Shurz, Senior Vice President Commercial, to announce the carrier’s plan for more nonstop service to multiple destinations requested by Silicon Valley travelers.

Frontier announced it is expanding its route map from Silicon Valley with nonstop flights to Atlanta, Cincinnati and Colorado Springs. This news comes in advance of the carrier’s launch at SJC with service to Denver on October 5, 2017. Find fares as low as $39 at www.FlyFrontjer.com.

On July 19, 2017, Frontier had previously announced the launch of service at SJC with nonstop flights to Denver, Las Vegas, Austin and San Antonio.

Frontier’s routes for Silicon Valley travelers are as follows:

Austin (AUS) Monday, Wednesday, Saturday April 9, 2018
Cincinnati (CVG) Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday April 8, 2018

“With the addition of three new low-cost, nonstop options, travelers in the South Bay/Silicon Valley area will now have access to seven nonstop destinations in the spring,” said Frontier’s Shurz. “Even before our first flight has taken off from SJC the community support for our Low Fares Done Right product has been great and that’s why we are announcing three new cities today.”

“We are pleased that Frontier Airlines has already decided to expand its presence at SJC, providing Silicon Valley travelers with even more convenient flight options across the U.S.,” said Liccardo. “I greatly appreciate the Frontier team for their confidence and continued investments in San José.”

“Frontier’s news today takes SJC to a new flight level as the addition of nonstop service to three more cities marks 50 nonstop destinations served from SJC,” said Director of Aviation John Aitken. “Our community is well-served with Frontier which now offers service to seven U.S. cities – three which have been unserved and four which offer more choices for travelers.”

San Antonio service is a first from Silicon Valley’s airport. Cincinnati and Colorado Springs were served in the past and mark a welcomed return for travelers.

Additional nonstop service to Atlanta, Austin, Denver and Las Vegas gives travelers another choice in airline and flight times. Southwest Airlines also serves Austin, Denver and Las Vegas nonstop from SJC, while Alaska Airlines serves Austin nonstop, United Airlines serves Denver nonstop, and Delta Air Lines offers nonstop flights to Atlanta and Las Vegas.
