Genting Cruise Lines is set to launch World Dream, Asia’s newest luxury cruise ship from Dream Cruises, this November at her dual homeports in Hong Kong and Guangzhou (Nansha) to continue to grow the Pearl River Delta cruise industry and provide fly/cruise options for the region with new itineraries to Vietnam and the Philippines.

Dream Cruises’ newest addition, World Dream has been conceived as a floating high-end, integrated resort at sea leveraging on the parent company Genting Hong Kong’s core expertise in both land and sea based businesses. The debut of World Dream will further enhance Dream Cruises’ capacity to offer a broad spectrum of multi-generational programs and facilities for guests, highlighted by exemplary heartfelt Asian hospitality and a market leading crew to guest ratio.

“Genting Cruise Lines is reinforcing our position in the Pearl River Delta Region by welcoming World Dream to begin her service with dual homeports in Guangzhou (Nansha) and Hong Kong, following in the footsteps of Genting Dream previously,” said Mr. Kent Zhu, President of Genting Cruise Lines. “Designed to cater to the growing Chinese market with tailor made facilities including quad occupancy staterooms to accommodate family travellers, World Dream will further build upon our ongoing commitment to this region which has seen Guangzhou (Nansha) evolve into China’s second busiest port and the strengthening of Hong Kong as a premier fly/cruise hub.”

Upon her launch, the brand new ship will take guests on a tropical and cultural journey in Asia with specially designed voyages taking in sun-drenched, popular destinations to alleviate the winter blues. 6-day/5-night cruises to Manila and Boracay in the Philippines from 17 November this year to 31 March 2018 will alternate with 6-day/5-night journeys to Ho Chi Minh and Nha Trang in Vietnam from 3 December to 14 October 2018 to provide tantalizing options for both local and international guests.

Her twin sister ship Genting Dream, meanwhile, will be deployed at her new homeport in Singapore with new itineraries to North Bali and Surabaya in Indonesia, as well as Kuala Lumpur and Penang in Malaysia and Phuket in Thailand.

“By doubling Dream Cruises Fleet with the addition of World Dream, we are delighted to be offering our guests and valued travel partners diverse itineraries featuring new, authentic destination experiences,” said Mr. Thatcher Brown, President of Dream Cruises.

New itineraries focusing on a tropical journey in Asia

World Dream’s new itinerary to Vietnam explores the rich cultural heritage of Ho Chi Minh City with its distinctive French colonial architecture and café loungers, which are well-known for their vast variety of coffee selections. Guests will also go on an enthralling discovery of Nha Trang, a beautiful city located along the Southern Central coast of Vietnam and named as “One of the 29 Most Beautiful Bays in the World” by Travel+Leisure Magazine for two consecutive years.

World Dream will also transport guests on an exotic island expedition in the Philippines stopping at the bustling capital city of Manila before heading to Boracay in Northwest of Panay. Voted consistently in the industry as one of the best islands in the world, Boracay is famous for its magnificent coastline and white sand beaches.

Luxurious all-inclusive concept for Dream Palace

Dream Palace, the signature, exclusive ship-within-a-ship experience across the Dream Cruises fleet, will be offering additional suites exclusively for World Dream guests to meet the growing demand for more luxurious accommodations. Ensconced in elegantly spacious interiors, all Dream Palace guests will enjoy dedicated Palace Concierge service orchestrated by a team of attentive Dream Butlers. Taking the concept of a European-style butler service from Dream Cruises sister brand Crystal Cruises, passengers are offered the same level of attention in both English and Chinese to bring guests exclusive and unique experiences which are Asian at heart and international in spirit.

The Dream Palace all-inclusive experience will also deliver a host of complimentary privileges including set menu meals in all Dream Palace outlets, set meal credit in five specialty restaurants, premium beverage package, city shuttle transfers, and much more.

“With the timely introduction of World Dream, we are even more committed to delivering higher service and product standards that exceed our guests’ expectations,” said Mr. Thatcher Brown. “We have listened carefully to the feedback of our guests and have fine-tuned World Dream to deliver even more comforts and conveniences to truly provide passengers with the unparalleled dream vacation that only Dream Cruises can offer.”

The 18-deck, 151,300 ton ship was designed from day one for an international cruise experience with authentic Asian characteristics. With a capacity of over 3,400 passengers, World Dream will be one of the most spacious and luxurious cruise ships in the region.

Surf and turf fine dining

On the dining front, guests can look forward to the new Vintage Room private food and wine chef’s table showcasing Dream Cruises’ preferred relationship with Penfolds wine makers and their extended vineyards globally to provide the perfect spot for an exclusive dinner experience. Two new world class restaurants will include an upscale steakhouse for meat lovers and a seafood concept featuring a fresh seafood market display counter to entice passengers. Celebrity guest chefs will further tantalize taste buds as World Dream looks to host her very own Wine and Dine festival at sea catering to intrepid gourmands from across the region.

Bustling bazaars and duty free shopping

Retail pursuits will be further enhanced by updated luxury shops and boutiques, highlighted by new brand partners including prestigious luxury jewellers Tiffany & Co. and a beauty bar to ensure that everyone looks their very best. For a fun and different shopping adventure, a novel marketplace and bazaar concept will bring the hustle and bustle of street market shopping to World Dream with stalls of goodies available for purchase.

Revved up recreational and virtual reality experience

Leisure and entertainment options will be further boosted with a new outdoor plaza in the pool area, the largest indoor virtual reality and game area at sea with state-of-the-art Vesaro car racing simulators, a dazzling laser show that will further enhance the ground breaking fireworks display at sea first established by Genting Dream, and exciting entertainment options including the new stage extravaganza, Sogno®, which will transport guests to an illusory dreamscape to experience a wondrous world that will inspire exploration of the senses.

Zen at sea redefined

An integrated medical and European Spa facility will feature a dedicated doctor to administer the latest in beauty treatments and new spa “Journey” packages promise the ultimate in pampering, laying the groundwork for future special Beauty and Aesthetics Cruises designed to boost guests’ inner and external beauty.

“World Dream is geared to attract more of China and Asia’s affluent travel sector, including the growing meetings and incentive market, by offering unique entertainment, restaurants and first-at-sea activities to enrich our passengers’ experience and to open up a world of endless possibilities for our guests,” added Mr. Brown.
