LGBT tourism: 10th edition of GNETWORK 360

The Ministry of Tourism of Argentina, through the National Institute of Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR), participated in the presentation of the 10th edition of the International Conference on LGBT Business and Tourism (GNETWORK 360) held today in the Argentine Chamber of Tourism (CAT).

Organized by the Argentine Gay Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CCGLAR), GNETWORK 360 is the most important business and tourism destination for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) people in Latin America, which since 2008, has been held in the autonomous city Of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Important personalities of the sector from different parts of the world meet in order to generate greater and better development opportunities for the segment. For the current edition, more than 1,700 attendees are expected.

The entourage of INPROTUR, in addition to attending the presentation of the conference, will participate actively during the development of the same, to be held from August 14 to 18, 2017 at the Alvear Palace Hotel in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta. The opening ceremony will be on Monday, August 14, at 1600 hours in the Blue Hall of the Congress of the Nation.

“We know that Argentina is one of the 5 most important destinations in the world for LGBT tourism. Therefore, being present in this type of action[s] not only allows us to position ourselves better and better, but also gives us the possibility to update and continue the leadership in Latin America,” said Marcelo Costa, Director of International Promotion for INPROTUR.

For his part, Pablo De Luca, head of the CCGLAR, said: “What started as a meeting of friends, today is the most important LGBT tourism event in the region.”
