“On the first two days of the fair trade, visitor attendance at ITB equalled 2008 levels – an outstanding result when compared with other events in these times,” said David Ruetz, senior manager, ITB Berlin, evaluating the initial results of the show. Preliminary figures show that international trade visitor numbers have risen. The current figure stands at 45 percent, whereas last year it was 38 percent. Business has increased, too. “Exhibitors are very satisfied with the quality of visitors and the business they have concluded,” said Ruetz after meetings held during the first few days.
