“Al-Baker was right to apologize”: APFA boss reacts to Qatar Airways CEO’s apology

The following statement is from Bob Ross, president of the Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA):

“Al-Baker was right to apologize to U.S. based Flight Attendants for his sexist and ageist remarks. However, it’s still wrong when he plans to invest in our company as a way to exert influence on our airline and our nation’s Open Skies policies. His unprofessional dialogue is insulting to the Flight Attendants who diligently work every day to serve and protect our customers. These very same Flight Attendants are also dedicated to upholding the stock price of a company in which Al-Baker wishes to invest.”
