Busy day of networking for CityFair.travel
The 9th edition of ETOA’s City Fair in partnership with European Cities Marketing (ECM) opened with an evening of networking and cocktails at London’s Smith & Wollensky. Invitees were treated to a cocktail-making demonstration before the following day’s City Fair workshop on Monday, June 12.
The workshop, held at London’s Old Billingsgate, featured 150 exhibitors from across Europe, including regional and city tourist boards, visitor attractions, local tour operators, retail outlets, restaurants, and hotels. With over 100 international tour operators and wholesalers in attendance, and over 6,800 one-to-one meetings, this year’s City Fair proved to be a busy day of networking.
Some of the operators in attendance included Kuoni GTA, Thomas Cook Belgium, GetYourGuide and Trafalgar.
Karen Hobus of Superbreak said, “As ever, City Fair 2017 was exceptionally well organized and provided a great environment in which to re-connect with established contacts and also discuss potential new business.”

Charo Errando of Ajuntament De Girona commented, “This is a very interesting promotional action for destinations, as you get in touch directly with tourism professionals, and their quality is good.”
City Fair 2018 will once again take place in London in June.
