Jamaica Minister of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett, addressed tourism stakeholders in Kingston recently about the tourism workers’ pension scheme, which is expected to go to tender soon.

The fund is expected to benefit some 90,000 persons employed in the tourism industry and will be bolstered by $1 billion being provided by the Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF) over a 5-year period.

The meeting, which took place at the Courtleigh Hotel & Suites, New Kingston, marks the second in a series of stakeholder consultations being held before the program is implemented.
