Flights to Sochi on Boeing 747

Rossiya Airlines, a partner airline of NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport, started to operate regular flights on Sochi-Novosibirsk-Sochi route on wide-body double-decker aircraft Boeing 747.

In summer period flights are scheduled on Mondays and Fridays. Flight FV 5646 arrives to Novosibirsk from Sochi at 14:50. Flight 5645 departs from Novosibirsk to Sochi at 17:15, local time.

On June 5, 2017, the flight was performed on Boeing 747-400 (El-XLD) wrapped in specially developed tiger print. The nose of the aircraft is decorated with an ornament of Siberian Tiger head. This aircraft was presented for the first time by Rossiya Airlines together with Siberian Tiger Center in September, 2016. The aim of the project is to attract public attention to saving the population of rare species of wild animals.

The airliner has brought «warm South greetings» – a gift from Rossiya Airlines» to Tolmachevo airport – Palm tree, which is an informal symbol of Sochi.

Flights are performed within the framework of airline’s program including flights to popular tourist destinations.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity of domestic terminal makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the international terminal capacity – up to 1300 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways of ICAO I and II Categories. In 2016 passenger traffic of the airport exceeded the mark of 4 million passengers.
