Skybus says Wednesday’s announcement means the company will be serving 18 cities come April 1.

The airline has been growing since it launched last May and has had a few stumbles. Last week, it ended service to Bellingham, Wash., because of high fuel prices. Over two days during Christmas week, Skybus canceled up to a quarter of its flights because of problems with two of its planes.
