Deepak R. Joshi, CEO of the Nepal Tourism Board, with Shradha Shrestha, responsible for Brand Promotion and Marketing, extended ITB Berlin to be on the road with eTN Publisher Juergen T. Steinmetz and eTN German Bureau Chief Michael Seipelt to meet press and travel agents in Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Prague, and Warsaw.
eTN is on the road again – this time with the Nepal Tourism Board on the Nepal European Summit tour โ and today, the first Summit concluded in Dusseldorf, Germany, at Biancaโs Place. Close to 80 participants enjoyed a superb Nepalese dinner, a cultural show, and a detailed presentation by CEO Deepak Joshi. In a round-table discussion, agents and media discussed the wide variety of travel options to Nepal. The announcement of a new e-visa was news welcomed by the audience in Dusseldorf.
Agents were not only wined and dined Nepalese style, but took a souvenir bag home with them containing authentic Nepalese tea.
There are 12 tour operators from Nepal traveling with the group, all of whom are being introduced to new potential travel agent clients in Germany.
Today Andra Handl-Erdman of ARTE Travel and Tourism in Meerbusch, Germany, was the winner of the lucky draw. Andra walked home with a 7-day all-expenses-paid tour to Nepal, courtesy of 3 of the 12 participating tour operators.
Guests at the summit had a great time. One journalist traveled to Dusseldorf all the way from Leipzig more than 500 km away just to attend.
