ARLINGTON, VA – Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), the premier driver of intelligence and commerce in the air travel industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric J Barger as the company’s vice president and chief human resources officer.
As a member of ARC’s executive team, Barger will spearhead the company’s strategy for cultural change and help advance its employee talent through training and professional development. Barger, who begins his tenure today, came to ARC from Laureate Education.
“I’m very excited to welcome Eric to the ARC executive team, as he has extensive educational credentials in organizational development as well as a variety of human resource leadership roles primarily focused on talent management,” said Mike Premo, ARC’s president and CEO. “He will bring an energy and leadership presence that I believe will strengthen our staff and tell employees that ARC remains fully committed to keeping at the forefront of progressive HR practices. We look forward to working with Eric as a key collaborator on the ARC executive team.”
Barger began his career at Discovery Communications as manager of talent strategy and organizational development. He then moved to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority as its talent acquisition and organizational development director. Barger also led talent management and acquisition efforts at Constellation Energy, McCormick & Company and Agora Publishing. At Laureate Education he served as vice president of talent management, leading a team of professionals in pursuit of filling more than 2,300 roles annually and meeting the development needs of all employees.
Barger holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He also earned a doctorate and master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology from George Mason University.
