LOS ANGELES โ A Southwest Airlines jetliner has made a safe return landing in Los Angeles after experiencing engine trouble after takeoff.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the pilot of Southwest flight 1644 reported a faulty left engine shortly after taking off from Los Angeles International Airport Saturday.
The plane, on its way to San Jose, circled back and landed safely at 12:49 p.m. No injuries are reported.
It wasn’t immediately known what the nature of the problem was.
Gregor says the FAA and the airline will investigate the incident.
