This coming November, the Seychelles Tourism Board, in partnership with the Embassy of Seychelles in China, will co-host this year’s appreciation evening. This event is set to take place on Friday, November 18, 2016 in Beijing and will mark 5 years since the opening of the Seychelles Tourism Board’s office in China. It will also be the first time that the Seychelles Tourism Board will be awarding both the press and the Chinese trade for all their dedication in working with the Seychelles.

This year, the Minister for Tourism & Culture, Alain St.Ange, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Tourism Board, Sherin Naiken, are both expected to also be present for this special occasion, in view of the fact that press sessions are already being planned to raise the visibility of the Seychelles in China.

Stephanie Lablache, from the Marketing Department at the Seychelles Tourism Board, has written to the local tourism trade and airlines linking Seychelles to China to join forces with the Seychelles Tourism Board to say thank you to the Chinese trade and press for their devotion towards the Seychelles.

In the meantime and to start the increase of visibility for the Seychelles drive, Minister Alain St.Ange at the end of last week met for an interview with the popular Jia Yuan Yuan of Shandong TV for their Holiday Travel Program. The Shandong TV crew is in Seychelles to prepare a television program on Seychelles as the new holiday destination for Chinese holidaymakers.

Also in Seychelles last week was a group of business leaders who called on the Tourism Minister to see how, through greater cooperation, more Chinese tourists could benefit from a Seychelles holiday.
