Weather conditions are expected to make air travel difficult, forcing some delays and cancellations of flights at airports in the region. To avoid inconvenience, travelers scheduled on flights through Thursday may wish to delay commencement of their trip. information has been received from Continental, JetBlue and AirTran regarding possible flight delays and/or cancellations.

Continental
Customers scheduled to travel to, from, or through affected airports, including Continentalโ€™s hubs at Newark Liberty International Airport and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, are encouraged to postpone or reroute their trip without penalty to avoid possible inconvenience.

Customers booked on flights in the affected region for travel through January 29, 2009 are permitted a one-time date or time change to their itinerary without penalty for rescheduled travel through February 10, 2009. JetBlue Airways Corporation will waive change fees and fare differences to allow customers booked for travel to, from, or through New York metro airports or Boston’s Logan International Airport on Wednesday, January 28 to voluntarily rebook their travel through Thursday, January 29 due to inclement weather forecasted to impact the region. Travel must be rebooked prior to originally scheduled departure.

Eligible New York metro airports include:

– Newark, NJ (EWR)
– Newburgh, NY (SWF)
– New York City – JFK and LaGuardia (LGA)
– White Plains, NY (HPN)

Customers may rebook their travel online at www.jetblue.com . To check on the status of flights or to check the availability of alternate flights, customers are encouraged to log on to www.jetblue.com or to call 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) for the latest flight information.

All customers booked for travel to/from the Northeast are encouraged to check the status of their flight online at www.jetblue.com prior to leaving for the airport. Customers with web-enabled cell phones and PDAs may check the status of their flight via mobile.jetblue.com .

AirTran
Passengers holding reservations for travel scheduled January 27 through 12:00 pm EST January 28, 2009 on AirTran Airways to, from, or through White Plains (Westchester) and New York (LaGuardia), New York; Newark, New Jersey; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania may make a change without penalty as long as changes are made one day prior to or up to five days following the date of the original scheduled departure date, based on space availability without change fees or fare adjustments.

In addition, passengers holding reservations for travel scheduled January 27 through 5:00 pm EST January 28, 2009 on AirTran Airways to, from, or through Boston, Massachusetts and Portland, Maine may also make a change without penalty as long as changes are made one day prior to or up to five days following the original scheduled departure date, based on space availability without change fees or fare adjustments.
