Arabic Calligraphy exhibition opens at La Verda Suites & Villas, Dubai Marina

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – An Arabic Calligraphy exhibition by well-known Egyptian Artist Diaa Allam opened recently at La Verda Suites & Villas, Dubai Marina.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – An Arabic Calligraphy exhibition by well-known Egyptian Artist Diaa Allam opened recently at La Verda Suites & Villas, Dubai Marina. The art works will be on display at the hotel until August 31 and are up for sale. Geometric patterns, strong hues of warm colors combined with Arabian symbolism creates a collection rich in tradition.


Commenting on the exhibition, Mr Siddharth Mehra, General Manager of La Verda Suites & Villas, Dubai Marina, said, “We are delighted to exhibit these stunning pieces of traditional Arabic art at our hotel during Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS). Mr Diaa Allam, who is an accomplished artist, superbly depicts the power of word on canvas combining the age-old techniques of Arabic Calligraphy with modern art. It is the perfect time to showcase this rich local heritage to our guests.”

Diaa lives and works as an Urban Planner and Landscape Architect in Dubai. He is also a member at Emirates Fine Arts Society and is very active in the UAE art scene having participated in several events and workshops on calligraphy as well as street art graffiti. He is also the co-founder of the first Emirati brand for Arabic calligraphy fashion Na7t Designs & Lifestyle. The ancient Arabic art form of calligraphy and the Arabic letters are Diaa’s passion. He strives to combine and integrate Arabic Calligraphy with contemporary Modern Art.
