LONDON – Madame Tussauds is to give US citizens free entry to the London tourist attraction on January 20, to mark Barack Obama’s inauguration as US president, it said Wednesday.

Visitors to the waxwork museum will get to see the new model of Obama without paying at Tussauds, whose daily entrance charges start at just over 12 pounds (18 dollars, 13 euros).

The Obama wax figure will be set in a mock-up of the Oval Office, where the US-president elect will finally take up his post this month after his historic November 4 election win.

All US citizens will get free entry for the day “on presentation of valid documentation,” said a Tussauds spokesman.
