Under the presidency of Xavier-Luc Duval, the Vanilla Islands continue to grow in the world of cruising.

As from January 2017, the islands of the Indian Ocean will be served by this luxury cruise company, known for its culinary excellence and innovative spirit.

Silversea was given the award for “Best Luxury Cruise” by the US magazine, Travel Channel; “Best Luxury Corporate Cruise Liner” by the magazine HRM Asia Readers’ Choice in Singapore; “Best Luxury Cabins” by cruiselines.com; and more than fifty others in recent years!

For Pascal Viroleau, director of the Vanilla Islands, he said, “Silverseas coming to the islands of the Indian Ocean is an important step, an additional recognition of the work accomplished over several months.”

The reduced capacity of the ships is so designed to be anchored directly on the coasts. Partnerships with Relais et Châteaux, slow food, and the famous Royal Geographic Society of London give them the opportunity to offer unique experiences that will bring major economic benefits to all the islands.

The Vanilla Islands is an organization that promotes the Indian Ocean islands: Comoros, Madagascar, Maldives, Mauritius, Mayotte, Reunion Island, and Seychelles.
