The five-star Corinthia Hotel St. Petersburg, in Russia, announced the appointments of Gianluca Tozzo as executive assistant manager in charge of operations, David Stern as executive assistant manager in charge of food and beverages, and Evgenia Nagimova as senior sales director.

Gianluca TOZZO was born in Rome, Italy, in 1972. He graduated from the Institute Hotelier โ€œCesar Ritzโ€ in Switzerland with a diploma in hotel management. By the age of 37, Gianluca Tozzo had already acquired a wide international hotel experience. His career spans different appointments with Grand Hotel Park in Gstaad (Switzerland), Grand Hotel Villa dโ€™Este in Cernobbio (Italy), Hotel Hassler Villa Medici in Rome, and Swisshotel The Bosphorus, Istanbul. Gianluca is not new to the Russian hospitality market as prior to joining Corinthia Hotel St. Petersburg, he was director of rooms division of the Swiss Hotel Krasnye Holmy, Moscow.

David STERN was born in Zwolle, Netherlands in 1974. He graduated in 1998 from the Hotel Management School Leeuwarden (Netherlands), having received a bachelorโ€™s degree in hotel management. He began his career in the hospitality industry as assistant food and beverage manager at the Le Meridien Grand Hotel Nuremberg (Germany). Further career steps included stints at the Kempinski Hotel Taschenbergpalais in Dresden, the Ritz-Carlton in Wolfsburg, and the Kempinski Hotel Bel Air in Rรผgen (Germany). Before joining Corinthia Hotel St. Petersburg, David worked as director of food and beverage at the InterContinental Berchtesgaden Resort in Germany.

Evgenia NAGIMOVA was born in Kazan (Russia) in 1981. She graduated from the Volgograd State Pedagogical University (Russia), having received a master of psychology degree in 2006. From 2004 to 2005, she also attended a marketing and PR course at the University of Colorado at Boulder (USA). Evgenia began her career in the hospitality industry in 2003 at the hotel โ€œVolgogradโ€ (Volgograd). Apart from her work in the hotel industry, she acquired international experience having occupied the position of business development manager at โ€œAnderson Investmentโ€ in Longmont Colorado (USA). Prior to joining the Corinthia Hotel St. Petersburg, Evgenia Nagimova was director of sales of the Kempinski Hotel Moika 22 in St. Petersburg.

Welcoming the newly-appointed managers, Asaad Farag, the hotelโ€™s general manager, commented: โ€œI am fully confident that the three new appointees will add their substantial experience and dynamism to the hotel management team effort at this challenging time. With the recent completion of the hotelโ€™s renovation and extension project, their immediate task will be to contribute in establishing the Corinthia Hotel as one of the finest examples of hospitality and service in the city of St. Petersburg.โ€
